My First Solid Body Electric

I finally got my self a Standard Fended Tele® Ash from guitar center.

Man do i love this little baby. Initially I was really worried if this would be enough for someone like “me”. Then Aditi helped put things in perspective. Finally realized that I needed to learn to play better and then demand way more than this. I know that musicians manage to play wonders with instruments that are a fraction of the cost of this one and well for someone who barely knows how to play, it really won’t make a difference. Sometimes I even feel its not fair for someone like me to own one of these. Anyway the point was that I was struck by the G.A.S bug and well that should justify the buy more than anything else.

Aditi and Eli were waiting in the car parked on the rooftop parking lot above guitar center while I picked this up. To complete the deal I got a black pick guard to replace the tortoise shell one. Not sure how many people actually like the default pick guard. Another thing was that this doesn’t even come with a gig bag so I asked them for something to take it back home in and well they threw in the gig bag for the price they buy it in which was about 12 bucks. I also noticed a scratch on the neck plate and well since it was a new piece they game me a new fender neck plate. The one on the standard Tele doesn’t have a logo but the one they gave did. So that turned out to be cool.

Thats it for now – Lets see if I can really make use of this beauty and also hoping to replace the parts as well on this someday. The 52 Reissue is now on the wish list.
